Stand up pouches are not biodegradable for a number of good reasons, first and foremost because they are made to stand on a store shelf and need to be constructed of material that is strong enough to hold the contents while maintaining their stability. Further, this same construction is used to create the barrier properties to keep the product inside fresher for longer.
