Stand Up Pouch Bags are Recyclable

There's a lot of misinformation out there about pouch bags, especially when it comes to recycling. Some of the main questions we hear are whether our stand up packaging bags can be recycled, or placed in landfills. These are very valid questions and we are more than happy to answer them so clients can see that there are no worries about using our cost effective packing solution. So, without further ado, yes, our pouches are absolutely recycle whether the bag is made of clear materials or printed with a rainbow of colors on every square inch of the package.

Our bags are made of several layers of materials that are laminated together. This allows them to stand up and be more easily seen and stored on the shelf. You can't feel the printing because it's trapped between different laminated materials. This ensures that the colors and graphics can't be scratched and those barriers also keep your product fresh. As far as recycling goes, used bags can be placed into a bin with other plastics and will usually have a recycle code of ARE 7. When the pouches are recycled, they are ground up and used along with other plastics to make plastic benches or various other products. They are also landfill friendly but like cardboard, newspaper, and plastic bags, are not biodegradable.
