The Top 5 Ways To Make Stand Up Pouches Your Own

The rise in popularity of stand up pouches has resulted in an influx of pouches on retailers’ shelves. But that does not mean there are not other ways to stand out from the crowd. The unique construction of stand up pouches means there are many ways to differentiate your product from others. Consider the following:

1. For makers of beverages, bubble bath or other liquids, stand up pouches can be equipped with built-in spouts and caps that make dispensing the liquid very fast, easy, and clean. Best of all, because pouches can be flattened as their contents are emptied, the consumer will love being able to empty the pouch of virtually all of the product contained therein.

2. Today’s retail shelves are jam-packed with products that are competing for consumer attention. While stock pouches are often an economical and practical way to sell one’s product, pouches offer unique opportunities to individualize and differentiate oneself. Die-cut shapes and sizes are especially effective at capturing the attention of people looking for something new.

3. To make a pouch even more appealing to your retail customers, consider adding a Euro slot at the top of the pouch, which will enable it to be hung in a peg display. Retailers love having options when it comes to merchandising, and these built-in holes are sure to please.

4. In the rush from here to there, busy consumers want one thing: convenience. That is why many manufacturers elect to use stand up pouches that are equipped with tear notches, zippers and press-to-close seals. Tear notches make packages quick and easy to open, while zippers and seals enable the user to save some for later -– confident that the product will still be fresh.

5. If you’ve got a larger and heavier product that requires a larger-style pouch, consider adding a die-cut carry handle. This enables the user to carry it around with them in one hand, freeing the other hand for any number of miscellaneous items, and making it that much easier for them to carry it out of the store!
