Green Packaging Opportunities

Our priorities are very clear: we want to protect your product, get it on store shelves in a way that is both cost effective and visually appealing AND do it in a way that has the least impact on the environment. So after a TON of research and market experience (we’ve done ALL kinds of packaging over the years!) we chose Stand Up Pouches for our customers because they meet all of our criteria (and yours) in the best possible way. What does that mean?

Understanding the materials we use.

Our packaging is made from laminated layers of barrier film, these layers are engineered to keep the contents fresher for longer. Without these different layers working together, the pouches wouldn't have the strength to stand, wouldn't have the bold ‘POW’ printing that you see, and the contents would go stale or spoil within a day or two. Picture a plastic grocery bag or even a brown paper bag -- how well would that work for your product?

Will these bio-degrade in a landfill?

No, the layers that protect your product also prevent it from breaking down completely in a landfill. (Check out our blog for the truth about landfills)

So what does that mean?

Our bags ARE recyclable and landfill friendly, meaning they CAN be thrown away in the trash (many plastics should not); or if discarded in recycling bins, they can be ground up and used for other types of plastics. ALL plastics -- stand up pouches, grocery bags and milk cartons -- are grouped and ground together. The end result is called REGRIND or FILLER and can be used to make plastic park benches, toys, car bumpers, parking lot stops, and more.

Recyclable...ABSOLUTELY!

Biodegradable…NOPE, but that doesn’t mean we won’t keep looking for solutions that can keep your product fresh, rock your brand on the store shelves and keep our planet green.
