NEW FLEXIBLE PACKAGING STYLES

As we ring in the new year, we also ring in many new and unique flexible packaging styles. Our plant has one of the top research and development teams in the world and we do rigorous testing everyday to find the most innovative products in the flexible packaging industry. From new and different types of barrier film, to new shapes and bigger sizes, let's take a look at what we have to offer you and your company.

• Unique Spouted Pouches

Spouted pouches for liquids and other semi-solid products are really on the forefront of research and development. Unlike many of you may think, it's fairly easy to customize a spouted pouch to your specific standards. We can make a custom mold and from there test out your product in the newly designed spouted pouch. In addition to making unique shapes, we also have new fitments including a fitment for our new gallon sized spouted pouch. This gallon sized pouch can hold all kinds of liquid including mineral water, wine and alcohol, and even automotive products like windsheild washer fluid and motor oil. Please also note that we are now able to make a spouted pouch larger than a gallon depending on the liquid!

• Microwavable Film

Our plant is also capable of creating other types of flexible packaging than just stand up pouches. This microwavable film is fairly new to the market and a consumer favorite. This film is meant to replace stove top boiling and steaming. The particular pouch in the video below is designed for baby bottles. The consumer can take the plastic bottles and tops, fill the bag with water, and place in the microwave where the boiling process will take place in the bag and the bottles will be sterilized.

• Retort Packaging

Another market that we're stepping into is retort film packaging. Retort, also known as 'cook-in-a-bag', is a special made film that is able to withstand high temperatures. Food is cooked in the bag and then sealed to guarantee freshness for a very long time. Great for people on the go. This type of flexible packaging has been in the industry for quite awhile; think about the Starkist tuna pouches, Capri Sun drink pouches, and the newer Campbells Soup 'on-the-go' soup pouches.

• Food Saver Stock Bags

These food saver bags will be available in our online store very soon. These bags are perfect for your home food saver or seal a meal vacuum system. On one side of the bag there is clear film and on the other side the film is embossed which together creates a vacuum tight seal once put through the sealing system.
