Finding medical supplies such as N95 Masks and hand sanitizer has become close to impossible in the US. With that in mind companies are scrambling to get these items from overseas suppliers and without a partner this will become trouble. Not that it isn't possible but it more often than not is trouble. By partner I am not referring to your new friend on Alibaba or MadeInChina.cn.
In situations like COVID 19 and the Coronavirus we are looking at shoddy suppliers and those willing to cut corners to make a fast buck. We strongly urge you to find a partner, preferably a partner that has "boots on the ground" meaning people willing to not only visit and inspect the factories but pull quality certifications and demand trace-ability back to the certifying agency. This is possible and should not be overlooked.
All too often, in times of crisis, people assume that what their supplier is telling them is legit and all too often they learn the hard way. Global sourcing does work and will work if you know what to look for, know the questions to ask, know how to demand quality and demand on time shipping and all the other details that are important to you.
