Just like clear stand up bags, metalized pouch bags also have some advantages and disadvantages. You can also opt for aluminum foil structures depending upon your needs.

Advantages:

1.    These are opaque and do not allow light inside, thus they’re good for light sensitive products
2.    Due to their opacity, the printing on the pouches is more visible and doesn’t require any underpriting
3.    They are cost effective and come with excellent barrier properties
4.    They are puncture resistant and have stronger film options than clear bags

Limitations:

1.    These are not see-through. Customers cannot see the contents that are stored inside before purchasing.

Advantages:

1.    These too are opaque and hence good for products that are sensitive to light
2.    Opacity helps in bringing out the printing naturally without having to employ underprinting
3.    Puncture resistant and strong structures are available

Disadvantages:

1.    These are a bit more expensive than other stand up bag structures.
2.    Cannot be used in a microwave

As you can see, there are both advantages and disadvantages of using metalized bags. Take care to understand your product packaging requirements before selecting the right stand up pouch. If you are unable to make up your mind, you can contact our experts and we’ll help you out.
