I've blogged extensively about stand up pouches, also known as stand bags or stand up bags and their uses for all sorts of products, from granola and cereal to candy and spices.  But one of the hottest markets for stand pouches is the liquid and beverage industry.  More specifically, using stand up pouches for alcohol and spirts as well as wine.  Here, the stand pouch would contain the liquid and use a sealed spout/cap combination to fill and discharge the liquid.

Step One in this process is to help a client determine the correct size for their particular liquid application.  Many clients will come to us and say, "I have a liquid beverage that is 12 fluid ounces, what size stand bag should I use?"  As you can imagine, this creates a chain of other questions which we are more than happy to ask and assist the customer with.

We recommend and ask two things right out of the gate.  Let us send you samples of spouted stand pouches or even non-spouted pouches to help you determine or at the very least narrow down the size.  Size does matter in this situation, as it will influence not only how much fluid it can hold but how the bottom gusset of the spouted stand bag will expand which will influence how stable the pouch will stand on a store shelf.  The second is we ask how you plan to fill the pouch with the liquid, either through the sealed spout that the cap would be screwed on afterwards or via a designated fill area on the spout that is ultimately heat sealed closed.
