Salmon Paws produces premium pet treats using only human-grade wild salmon caught in the pristine waters of Alaska. Their product is 100% pure salmon meat with no bones, fillers, or yeast. Only the finest salmon is used, and these good folks hand-make and bake their salmon jerky dog (and cat!) treats.
How Stand Up Pouches Worked With Salmon Paws
Salmon Paws, like many of our clients, wanted their products to be “seen” on a store shelf, but they didn’t necessarily want a huge round circle or some big square to serve as their “window.” Their design team came up with a clever paw print, and they turned to us to make their dream dog treat pouch and to develop the right barrier film combinations that would protect their product and keep it fresher for longer.
Pet food, pet treats, and fish products such as these tend to have an oil residue on them, and oil can cause havoc on some films. Fortunately, we were prepared with the right film combination that provided the strength but also the right clarity so the product could be seen and still protected from moisture, vapor, odor, or other issues.
Subsequently, Salmon Paws has returned to us to create more dog treat pouches as their business has grown.
